Regulation and Use of Marijuana Overview

55% of Washington’s voters voted for the legalization of marijuana. Initiative 502 establishes the ground rules for marijuana possession, use, and includes a tax structure. It only has indirect impacts on the State’s Medical Marijuana law and those are limited to protection from arrest and access to marijuana.
